DLand - Fox and Hound

My father once told me that there is not enough appreciation for a dear friend of the opposite sex. Tonight I realized that all over again.I had an unexpected but very pleasant date with Fox. I was the one person without a media pass in the entire restaurant that didn't work there. Fox has said it many times but it truly does amaze me that he and I can be so very different on so many levels and yet connect - even if only for two hours over dinner. We talked about our friends and our jobs (both the amazingly cool and amazingly sucky parts of them). We made hopeful plans for the weekend. We talked about how much we missed each other. We talked about how fantastic our Puddin' and Wife are, respectively. And we laughed and laughed and laughed. So Fox rocks. And now after such a fine evening, I eagerly await a phone call from my lover as he returns triumphant from hockey.

There is nothing better than ending a hard day at work by seeing the smiling face of my Puddinator. It's like my whole day goes from REM's Everybody Hurts to Katrina and the Waves' Walking on Sunshine just by crossing the threshold to the apartment.

DLand - You Don't Have Mail

Someone has been trying to send me an e-mail for the last three days. Everytime they attempt to send it, it kills my mailbox on the mail server. If I send an email to myself it will clear it out and I can continue to get emails. But I never get an email from the mystery sender. The same thing happens for Bossman occasionally.Our attempts to get our “mail server admin” to do anything about this have been basically fruitless. So at this point about four to five times a day, my e-mail makes me absolutely furious. I wish I could contact the mystery person. I wish I knew if it were a real e-mail or one of the many I get about longer harder mortgages or whatever. I wish my “mail server admin” could feel the anger I have boiling inside me. I have this little red wagon of complaints and gripes that I've been carrying around behind me for a while now. But on the bright side, Outlook 2003 is very slick and I like it very much.
